The Community Garden initiative aims to create an organic garden that will enrich the Warwick community by the creation of a productive and beautiful space that will provide opportunities for

• volunteer participation
• social enrichment, especially between generations
• healthy eating promotion
• gardening & permaculture education
• tourism

This project will support life-long education and healthy living by encouraging residents to help each other, share ideas and produce.

The creation of a productive and beautiful space will be promoted to attract tourism to the area in the form of tours and educational programs.

The Community Garden project will encourage the participation of all age groups and promote community connections through individual, group and business partnerships both locally and regionally.

Involvement in the project will provide volunteers with a sense of well-being and opportunities to enjoy a healthy lifestyle.

Affiliations

We hope to work in with Stanthorpe’s Whistle Stop Community Garden and Northey Street City Farm, two community gardens that have already been very influential to the planning of the Warwick Community Garden.
